Hello! Thank you for choosing to explore my artist’s blog!
I am Kenlie Renee Cerull, and I can’t wait to share my journey of art and expression through this blog. I am currently a student at the University of Colorado, Boulder studying Strategic Communication with a focus in Creative Advertising and a minor in Fine Arts. My life begins in Appleton, Wisconsin where I was influenced by a business driven father and a design centered mother. Art specifically has been a pinnacle part of my life for as long as I can remember. Working with mediums ranging from watercolor, wheel throwing, sculpture, collage and digital art; I have recently discovered my fluid line of style through everything I touch. In recent years, my interest for graphic design and curation have taken over my life. Whether I am searching through stacks of vintage magazines or clipping and cutting digital images, I have used technology to enhance my creations. Recent themes from my work include sexuality, self enlightenment, and emotional sacrifice. The passion I have developed for the art world grows every moment and it makes me feel nothing less than unconditionally alive. I find inspiration through Jean Michel Basquiat, Virgil Abloh, Simon Porte Jacquemus, and many other creative minds. I have learned throughout the years that there is no definition of being an artist, nor is there a limitation to how many fields or realms of creation one can explore.
