For this project I wanted to capture an alter ego that resonates with multiple personalities. I based this alter ego specifically on the transitions and growth I have experienced in the past few months. This alter ego lives in between reality and the spiritual realm and is a very powerful empath. The personalities range from disruption and anger to relaxation and spirituality. Some are figments of imagination, others are belief systems, and others are mere hallucinations. Personalities and egos range in their ability to consume our minds. So it seemed fitting to create a variation of power throughout the selfies. I looked for images and symbolism that resonated with myself on an emotional level. I was inspired by Jacquemus, Virgil Abloh, and Jean Michal Basquiat in many, if not all of my selfies. I created motion in several of my gifs which I found to be therapeutic. Many of the symbols are associated with childhood memories or traumatic moments in my life.
